Villamartin Description

The Villamartin development began in 1972 and has evolved into a slendid Mediterranean village of apartments, townhouses and villas with three excellent 18 hole golf courses at it's heart. They are the original Club de Golf Villamartin, Las Ramblas de Orihuela and the well known Campoamor Golf Course. There is also a central square with banks, a supermarket, shops cafes and fine restaurants to suit all.

Villamartin is fast becoming one of the most prestigious golf courses in Spain, with all of the amenities you would expect from a development of this standard. Added to which the climate is wonderful, the beaches are un-crowded and there are a number of lively townswithin a close proximity. No wonder Villamarting is attracting so much interest!

Close to Villamarting are numerous beaches with magnificent views over the sparkling blue Mediterranean and the "white sand" that is typical of the Cost Blanca. The beaches along the coastline close to Villamartin are Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Campoamor. All of these beaches and all other major beaches along this part of the Mediterranean costaline are regularly awarded the European Blue Flag which is your guarantee of high standards and facilities for the whole family

The Costa Blanca is one of the healthist places to live in Southern Europe with 320 days of sunshine a year and a year round average temperature of 20 degrees. There are miles and mile of blue flag beaches within a short drive.
Murcia city and Alicante are both within 40 minutes drive away and offer a multitude of museums, shops, cafes and restaurants. Just a bit further up the coast is the cosmopolitan resort of Benidorm with its theme parks and great nightlife.Villamartin Plaza is a lively centre for your holiday, its full of restaurants bars and shops with plenty to keep you occupied with a lively nightlife.

Beach life

All the local beaches are blue flag, the closet being La Zenia under 10 minutes in the car or a bit further away there are miles of sandy beaches at Guadamar.
Loads of water sports at Mar Menor a 20 drive away you can also expericence the healing salt waters and mud baths.
Orihuela is just a 20mins drive inland through the orange and lemon groves; and is a historical town unspoilt by tourism with churches ( visit the Semana Santa museum) and museums a plenty you can even ring the bell at the local convent and purchase pastries and jams from the local nuns. Beware here that siesta is observed and everything shuts down for the afternnon.
