Within a short drive of the house, the beaches are plentiful and vary from vast expanses of sand to small pebble coves. Many of the safe white sandy beaches are proud to display the prestigious Blue Flag, which is awarded by the EU for cleanliness and safety. The beaches along the coastline close to Villamartin are La Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, and Campoamor. La Zenia is the closest to the house,only a few minutes drive. Calla Captaen is next to La Zenia and is a very safe beach to swim or snorkel. . You can take a boat ride to the island of Tabarca where scuba diving is a pleasure, or sail along the coast. Fishing trips and boat rides are available from the port of Torrevieja. During the day you can enjoy the sea and sun along the magnificent beaches, while at night time you can enjoy a meal in one of the many excellent restaurants along the seafront. Regardless of your choice of beach you will not be disappointed.
