Spain is renown for its local markets where you can buy plenty of fresh produce: seasonal fruits and vegetables, fish, meat, cheese, sausages, meats, pickles, olives, dried fruit, nuts, eggs, pastries, cookies, breads, sweets, clothes, shoes, belts, bags, kitchenware, music, carpets, paints, fabrics...a little bit of everything! Even your favourite olives. In the Orihuela Costa there is pretty much a large market on daily. Don't be afraid to barter with them either, it's expected. Some of the markets also have large eating areas where you can buy BBQ, Paella's or even get breakfast before starting the day of shopping. Most open at 8AM and close at 2PM. below is a list of our local markets to visit.
The Orihuela Costa has numerous "Chino Bazaars" located all over. I you need anything for the house, they will have and normally at a lower price. Any kind of trinket to kitchenware and plants to DIY you will find it. Always look at it though as sometimes the quality can be the same as the price, "cheap". They are pretty much on every corner and are huge!
